Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia www.dyslexia.com

An intriguing therapeutic approach to Dyslexia and related disorders pioneered by Ron Davis and his foundation.  Ron was diagnosed as a autistic Kanner baby and did not speak at age 12 - he was considered to be mentally retarded until age 17 when he was found to have an I.Q. of 137 and finally received speech and language services from a gifted speech therapist.  He went on to obtain a degree as an engineer, but at age 38 could not read or write.  He brilliantly analyzed his problems as one of sensory distortion or "disorientation" as he refers to it,  overcame his dyslexia (difficulty reading) and dysgraphia (difficulty writing)  and with the members of his foundation have created an approach to help others with Dyslexia, and related disorders.  Ron feels that autism is simply an extreme form of dyslexia.  His book, The Gift of Learning, provides fascinating insights into how sensory distortion causes learning disabilities.
