Help Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion on their mission to
find a crown for Sam! Your child will travel to 30 Letter Lands, learn
their sounds, and take giant steps toward real reading! This
program provides hours of fun, engrossing activities. With many
lands and thirty stories, the first stories start out simply with with a
few words and simple illustrations on each page. One of the many
cool features of this program is that your child can actually record his
or her voice while reading the interactive books and then have the book
replayed using the child's voice. This classic,
full-featured program taught both my children to read - it really
works! |

A
complete on-line reading course that has been proven to improve reading
levels of struggling readers 1-3 years in an 8 week period. It is
being implemented by many schools throughout the U.S. and Canada as part
of their remedial reading programs. More cost effective than
comparable programs, it teaches phonics (letter sounds, blends, digraphs, silent sounds),
word decoding (blending, rhyming, word families, long words, prefixes, suffixes),
comprehension (sentences, passages, main idea, details, compare & contrast, fact & opinion, conclusions).
The children play the games until they complete all 50 levels of
play. To keep things interesting, the games vary from level to
level and are so much fun, some children will stay on for
hours at a time playing to get to the next levels. |

character who is learning our English language. Children can make Scally

knows!
Scally has about one hundred animations, plus easy-to-use configuration
options. Develops vocabulary, word recognition, listening, spelling and
keyboard skills. You can limit Scally`s words, choose word equivalents
(e.g. stretch = yawn) and even add your own equivalent words. There are
five levels in all. Optionally displays Mayer-Johnson Picture®
Communication Symbols. |

Ages
4-adult |
Windows |
$150 |

|
ScanIt Plus is based on the flashcard principle: each
question consists of a text test, which is displayed on the screen for a
specified length of time. The text is removed and the student either
selects the correct text from a selection of texts or types back the
displayed text. If you are doing well, ScanIt Plus reduces the time that
the word stays on the screen, and if you are having trouble, ScanIt Plus
flashes them up for longer. With a little practice you will start to
read whole words instead of letters. You can then move onto phrases. As
you train your eye to read larger groups, your reading fluency will
increase dramatically and you can see a chart of progress at the end of
each exercise showing your improvement. |

Thirty different storybooks included for
each letter of the alphabet, plus plus the digraphs sh, ch, th, and wh,
allow children to learn letter recognition, word recognition and early
reading in a fun, intuitive format. The average story is 5 pages long and
contains words beginning with the selected letter or digraph. Each
story is read out loud by the program, page by page, and each word is
highlighted as it is read, modeling how to read. Each page in a
story has a colorful picture and single sentence. Every
story is followed by two interactive spelling activities to help students
reinforce their knowledge - one of filling in a blank in a simple sentence
and the other of finding pictures of objects on that page that begin with
the letter or digraph that has been selected. A gem of a
program. Now a sequel, Sound Activities is available. |
