Mineral Taste Test
Many parents and clinics have used these liquid minerals to perform a Mineral Taste Test to identify mineral deficiencies in their children/patients. You can purchase the minerals and use the instructions we have provided below to create your own taste test kit. For a printable PDF version of the kit instructions, click here.
To make a taste test kit from the BodyBio liquid minerals::
1. Get one disposable cup for each mineral you are testing. Label each cup with the name or number of the mineral you are testing, using tape and/or a marker.
2. Add the number of drops recommended on the label of the liquid mineral you are testing to the empty cup for the mineral you are testing. The amount recommended varies from mineral to mineral. Repeat this for each mineral you are testing.
If you are testing Magnesium, also add a pinch of vitamin C (powered ascorbic acid), which you may obtain from a local health food store. Only a pinch is needed; too much vitamin C will not allow you to taste and accurately evaluate the Magnesium.
3. Add 8 oz. of distilled water to each cup. It is important that the water be distilled so that no other minerals or contaminants are present in the water.
To use the taste test kit:
1. Swirl the first mineral around in your mouth.
2. Give the mineral a rating, based on the table below:

4. The ultimate goal is to eventually have a score of 4, meaning you are no longer deficient in these minerals. Most people test at 3.
5. You may then use the minerals that have rated 1-3 on a daily basis with your child, according to the dosage recommendations provided on the bottle for each mineral.
6. Every month or so, retest to see if tastes have changed.
